Hello everyone. Today we are going to
0:02
work on something that is viral out
0:05
there and it is garlic parmesan crockot
0:09
chicken and potatoes. It's a really
0:12
creamy, delicious, cheesy dish full of
0:16
flavor. I've made something similar to
0:19
this back in the day and we're going to
0:22
kind of make this more of a homemade
0:24
version. What they use right now in the
0:27
viral videos are the jars of garlic
0:31
parmesan dressing. Now, it's very salty.
0:36
Okay, so I'm going to be recreating the
0:39
homemade version of that jarred sauce
0:41
and it's really easy. And we are going
0:44
to be using the crock pot today. And I
0:47
am going to be searing the chicken
0:49
because for one, the chicken is kind of
0:52
a bland color and so are the potatoes
0:56
and everything going into it. So as we
0:59
sear the chicken,
1:01
it's going to give it a nice deep golden
1:04
brown color. That's what we're looking
1:05
for. It doesn't take very long to sear
1:08
your chicken and then it's going to lock
1:10
in some of the seasonings that we're
1:12
going to put on the chicken and help
1:15
flavor this dish. All right, you guys. I
1:19
saw this recipe and I'm like, we can
1:21
make it better. And we are. So, here we
1:25
go. So, I've got four boneless, skinless
1:27
chicken breast on my cutting board here.
1:30
And I've just sliced them. And I'm going
1:32
to cut them into bite-sized pieces. But
1:36
we're gonna go already have it cut up
1:39
into the bite-sized pieces. That way,
1:42
it's golden brown on all sides. Now, you
1:45
can just throw it in the crock pot and
1:47
do that if you want, but really, come
1:49
on, you guys. Lock in that flavor and
1:52
lock in the color to this dish.
1:56
Okay, we have all four boneless,
1:58
skinless chicken breast diced up into
2:00
bite-sized pieces. Let's season it up.
2:04
Salt.
2:08
What's great about this dish is you can
2:09
control the amount of salt going into it
2:11
because in that bottled dressing, it's
2:14
loaded.
2:16
Black pepper,
2:18
garlic powder,
2:20
onion powder,
2:22
smoked paprika. That'll give it a nice
2:24
color. We're going to take some tongs
2:26
and mix this all together.
2:31
We're going to be seasoning another
2:32
layer. So, this was enough seasoning for
2:35
the chicken right now. Now, in a long
2:38
skillet, I'm going to place in about
2:41
one to two tablespoons of some cooking
2:44
oil. Just going across the top here. I'm
2:46
using some olive oil.
2:48
We're going to heat that up until it's
2:50
nice and hot over a medium high heat.
2:53
Then we're going to add in the chicken.
2:55
All right, I've tested the oil. It's
2:57
nice and hot.
2:59
Oh, I hear that sizzle.
3:02
We're going to try to get one layer
3:04
here. Now, I got a lot of chicken going
3:07
on here. Wanted to get it all cooked up.
3:10
Now, we're just looking to give it a
3:11
nice golden brown color on all sides of
3:14
the chicken. We're not looking to cook
3:15
it through, make it nice and tender. All
3:17
right. Just give it some nice crisp
3:20
edges to it and some color. While our
3:23
chicken is browning up, I'm going to go
3:24
ahead and cut up the potatoes. I'm using
3:26
gold potatoes. They're pretty big, but
3:28
you can use the fingerlings or you can
3:30
use the Yukon gold baby potatoes if you
3:34
want to do that. You just want to make
3:35
sure that they're about bite-sized
3:37
pieces when we get them cut.
3:40
Going to take these. I'm just going to
3:41
cut them long ways.
3:45
Cut this one long ways. Just depends on
3:48
the size of your potatoes.
3:52
And we'll cut them like that.
3:58
I'm leaving the skins on so they hold
4:00
their shape and they don't become mush.
4:03
But that's what we're looking for right
4:04
here. Look at the color of this chicken.
4:08
We're going to add this to the bottom of
4:10
our crock pot. Now, I've sprayed it with
4:12
some non-stick cooking spray.
4:18
All right. You know what I'm going to do
4:19
now? sear the potatoes. All right, we're
4:23
going to crisp these up. I'm going to
4:24
put them in my pan. Wait until it gets
4:26
nice and hot. We'll add a little bit of
4:28
oil, some more of the seasonings. I'm
4:31
going to put enough in there to where it
4:32
covers the bottom of our skillet here.
4:34
That looks good right there. And all
4:36
we're going to do is give it a nice
4:37
crisp edges to it and lock in some
4:40
flavor. Also, some oil to help with
4:42
that.
4:44
Salt. Garlic powder. We're just going to
4:47
mimic the same flavors. onion powder,
4:51
smoked paprika.
4:53
I'm going to turn my heat up to high so
4:55
I can get these potatoes nice and crisp.
4:57
We're not cooking them all the way
4:59
through. Let's get that pepper in there.
5:04
All right, let's add our potatoes to the
5:07
chicken in the crock pot.
5:14
Woo! Look at those. Yum. Get all those
5:17
flavors out of there. Now we got to get
5:19
the creaminess going on. All right. I'm
5:22
just grating up some Parmesan cheese.
5:24
About half a cup.
5:29
There we go.
5:32
We're going to add that to a medium
5:33
bowl. We're going to add in half a cup
5:35
of shredded mozzarella cheese.
5:39
Four teaspoon of minced garlic. This is
5:42
a parmesan
5:44
garlic recipe. We're going to get that
5:47
garlic in there. We're going to add one
5:49
cup of chicken broth.
5:52
Half a cup of milk, cracked black
5:56
pepper.
5:58
Get it in there.
6:01
You're definitely going to mimic that
6:04
Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic
6:06
sauce. We're making our own so that we
6:09
can control everything that goes in it.
6:11
And it's nice and fresh. Look at that.
6:15
I'm not adding any salt because parmesan
6:17
salty enough. There we go. Once we get
6:19
that all combined, we're going to pour
6:20
that into the crock pot. I'm going to
6:23
give that a taste.
6:25
M. That's good.
6:27
Let's pour this on top of our potatoes
6:30
and chicken in the crock pot.
6:32
I'm just going to kind of make sure the
6:34
mixture gets on everything
6:37
because we're not going to mix this in.
6:40
We're going to kind of let it melt on
6:41
in.
6:45
Just like that. Woo. Doesn't that look
6:48
better?
6:50
Mhm. All right, you guys. We're going to
6:52
place a lid on the crock pot and we are
6:55
going to cook this on high for 3 to four
6:58
hours. You want to make sure the
7:00
potatoes are nice and tender and that
7:02
chicken is nice and tender and cooked
7:04
through. If you want to cook this on
7:06
low, it'll take about 6 to 8 hours. And
7:09
the same thing, just check for the
7:11
tenderness of your chicken and potatoes.
7:13
I'll be back. We're going to finish this
7:14
off. I'm going to give this a try for
7:16
you. All right, you guys. 3 hours. That
7:20
chicken is tender. Those potatoes are
7:24
nice and soft. And they're tender also.
7:26
It smells amazing in there. What I'm
7:29
going to do,
7:31
we're going to add about 1/4 cup to a
7:34
half a cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
7:37
across the top.
7:41
And then we're going to put mozzarella
7:42
cheese, about the same amount, across
7:45
the top.
7:50
Oh yeah, just put it all in there. I'm
7:52
going to top it with some fresh chopped
7:55
parsley.
7:57
We're going to put a lid on. We're just
7:59
going to let that cheese melt.
8:01
All right, you guys. Look at that. Oh,
8:04
does that look good? We're going to dive
8:06
in. You can make this a full-blown meal
8:09
by adding spinach to it and let it
8:12
soften down in there. Oh, look at that.
8:17
All right, now you guys quit drooling.
8:21
>> Sorry.
8:23
>> Oh, that was my husband. Okay. All
8:25
right. All right, I'm going to grab a
8:26
fork and give this a try for you.
8:28
There's my bite.
8:37
It's like butter.
8:44
Those flavors are so good.
8:49
I taste that garlic in here.
8:52
We put enough in there.
8:56
Mhm.
9:01
That is delicious, you guys. I hope you
9:04
make it. This is better than if you use
9:07
that Buffalo Wild Wings garlic and
9:10
Parmesan dressing that everyone is using
9:14
right now and is going viral. So, I'm
9:17
showing you how to make it homemade
9:18
without using that jar that's full of we
9:21
don't know, right? Make your own. Make
9:24
it fresh. Make it delicious. All right,
9:27
you guys. Give me a thumbs up on this
