Hello everyone. Welcome back. It is
0:02
candy season. Christmas time is coming
0:06
up and we've got a lot of candy recipes
0:08
for you. We're going to start off with
0:10
this one here today. Look who I have in
0:12
the kitchen. Hey,
0:14
if y'all don't know, this is my husband
0:16
Thomas. He's usually behind the camera,
0:18
but he's going to be in front of the
0:20
camera today because he's got his
0:21
favorite cereal.
0:22
Yeah. I haven't had these in years.
0:27
The corn pops. Yeah. So, we're going to
0:30
make snowman poop.
0:34
It's going to be delicious. It's going
0:36
to look fun to eat. Grab your snowman.
0:39
Grab your corn pops and let's put this
0:42
one together. All right. Thomas is going
0:45
to measure out about seven cups of the
0:48
corn pops. And then we're going to put
0:50
them into a large mixing bowl.
0:53
Seven cups, huh?
0:54
Yeah.
0:56
All right. Seven less cups of corn pops
0:59
for his breakfast.
1:01
Look it. Look, it's brand new. I have
1:04
not been in.
1:06
Y'all sitting there calling me a cookie
1:08
thief.
1:10
I didn't take those cookies.
1:13
I didn't take them.
1:15
All right, we got four.
1:20
Oh, did it go somewhere?
1:26
There we go. All right, that about seven
1:29
cups right there.
1:31
All right, we're going to set these off
1:33
to the side for just a second.
1:38
Leave them right there. There we go.
1:39
Get this one before the dog does.
1:42
Yeah, we don't want Bailey eating that.
1:44
Oh, well, that didn't go very far. It's
1:46
stuck to my finger.
1:50
Y'all didn't see that. He like threw it
1:52
trying to get it into the sink and it
1:53
hit the floor again. It stuck my to my
1:56
finger.
1:57
All right, the next step is we're going
2:00
to melt some white chocolate chips. Now,
2:05
you can use almond bark for this if you
2:07
want to do that, but we're going to be
2:08
using this right here. We got 12 oz.
2:13
Y'all keep an eye on them.
2:15
I'm closing.
2:17
It's closed.
2:18
My scissors are missing. That's him,
2:20
too. Huh?
2:22
You just blame me for everything.
2:26
Just call me scapegoat Thomas.
2:29
We're a little uh crazy today. All
2:31
right, we got a wedding coming up in two
2:33
days. Are y'all doing the countdown with
2:35
us?
2:36
Two days.
2:38
It's been a week, a few days. Now it's
2:40
two days. Okay, hold on to that for a
2:41
second.
2:43
And we're going to get
2:48
some.
2:51
Now, you can use coconut oil or you can
2:54
use shortening, like vegetable
2:56
shortening, and just put a tablespoon
2:59
down into the bottom of your mediumsiz
3:02
microwave safe bowl. That's where we're
3:05
going to melt it. Now, if you like the
3:08
double boiler method, you can certainly
3:10
do it that way. That's totally fine.
3:12
Whichever way you do it, this has
3:14
instructions on the back of the package
3:17
here on how to melt the chips. So,
3:20
that's what we're going to do. 45
3:22
seconds in the microwave. Stir it. And
3:25
then 15 seconds, stir it. 15 seconds.
3:28
Stir it. Just until it's nice and
3:30
smooth. You don't want to overdo it. So,
3:31
you don't want to scorch it. All right.
3:33
I'm going to bring you up here so we can
3:35
get this step going. All right. We're
3:38
going to put in the shortening first.
3:43
So, this is what I'm using right here.
3:44
It's just the coconut oil.
3:47
And then Thomas is going to pour the
3:49
chips in.
3:50
All of them.
3:50
Yep.
3:52
And it's 12 ounces.
3:57
There we go. That's what it should look
3:59
like.
3:59
Nope. Wait.
4:03
There.
4:04
All right. Now we got them all in there.
4:05
Our bagel's trying to find the sugar pop
4:08
that hit the floor.
4:11
45 seconds.
4:13
Oh.
4:17
Oh my god. I
4:21
Oh my gosh.
4:24
Just beat Thomas up with the ball,
4:25
didn't I?
4:26
Yeah.
4:28
All right, let's see what it looks like.
4:31
All right, we're just going to move it
4:33
around.
4:37
You want to smoosh it?
4:39
Yeah. Look at that.
4:43
15 seconds more in the microwave.
4:46
All right,
4:48
that was going to hit you in the back of
4:49
the head. Now, stir good.
4:53
Mash it into the heat of the bowl.
4:56
And I think we're going to need another
4:58
15 seconds.
4:59
That smells good.
5:00
Yeahoo.
5:03
15 seconds.
5:06
Oh yeah. Look,
5:09
that look good.
5:10
Just smash it into the bowl. Make sure
5:12
everything is nice and smooth. No lumps.
5:15
All right. Look at that.
5:19
That look good.
5:20
That's good right there.
5:23
Thomas is going to pour that all into
5:24
our cereal.
5:28
The whole thing.
5:29
The whole thing.
5:34
Yeah.
5:35
It all out of there.
5:38
She took it cuz she knows I was going to
5:40
leave some.
5:42
Now, what you want to do is start
5:44
coating this very well, the cereal.
5:49
Go on in
5:52
like this.
5:52
Yep.
5:54
All right. Now, while he's coating that,
5:57
we're going to take some powdered sugar.
6:00
Now, we're not going to do any more than
6:02
like a/4 cup. So, I'm going to take just
6:05
a little bit at a time. We're going to
6:06
sprinkle it in. And he's just going to
6:08
keep coating all of this.
6:12
Get in there, you guys. Go all the way
6:14
down to the bottom. Bring everything up.
6:16
Now, the powdered sugar is going to keep
6:18
everything from sticking to a point.
6:21
Anyway,
6:23
there we go. Now, while we're adding
6:26
that,
6:28
we're going to have some more fun. Take
6:30
some sprinkles.
6:32
Now, I'm doing the colored sprinkles
6:34
here.
6:37
Let's see. Ah, here we go. We're going
6:40
to sprinkle some in. We'll move the bowl
6:42
over here a little bit.
6:44
All right. Sprinkle around. Get them on
6:46
in there.
6:50
More powdered sugar.
6:56
And we'll add some more sprinkles.
6:59
You just did everywhere.
7:01
I did.
7:04
It's all right. Dog will get them.
7:06
Go deep,
7:08
y'all. Dig deep. Hold your bowl. You
7:10
don't want that to go on the other side
7:11
of the counter there.
7:13
Not with the beagle on the hunt.
7:16
All right, let's get the last amount of
7:17
powdered sugar going in. There we go.
7:21
And if you feel like you need a little
7:22
extra, you can put a little extra in
7:23
there. Go dig deep.
7:25
Mhm.
7:26
What do you think about the sprinkles?
7:27
What do y'all think? We need more. Look
7:29
in there.
7:31
We're going to keep putting powdered
7:32
sugar in there.
7:35
I think that's good on the powdered
7:37
sugar.
7:37
All right. A little bit more sprinkles.
7:41
There we go.
7:42
There we go.
7:43
Nice and festive.
7:45
Now, if you think this is fun, wait
7:46
until you see our next recipe.
7:48
Mhm.
7:49
Yeah. All right. We're going to take the
7:53
corn pop mixture here and we're going to
7:56
place it onto our sheet pan.
8:05
What do you think?
8:07
Oh, that's good. Oh, man.
8:11
Now, you might need two pans for this.
8:14
Nah, you fill that one up and then give
8:16
me a spoon.
8:21
I like that.
8:24
That's good.
8:28
Now, kind of break it up on the pan.
8:32
You want more?
8:34
Nope. I think this is it for this pan
8:36
here. We'll do the other pan.
8:38
Okay.
8:39
And just kind of break them up on the
8:42
pan so they don't stick all together.
8:43
We're just breaking them up a little
8:44
bit. All right. We're going to take some
8:47
more powdered sugar. I have my little
8:49
strainer here. Just a very small one
8:51
that I have. And we're just going to go
8:52
over the top.
8:55
Let it snow. Let it snow
9:00
on your snowman poop.
9:02
Yeah. You can do Christmas colors for
9:04
the sprinkles if you want to do that.
9:07
Just looks festive, doesn't it?
9:10
You're missing a patch.
9:12
Sure am.
9:15
All right.
9:16
I guess that's where the Don't you eat
9:18
that yellow snow comes from, huh?
9:20
Yeah. And then we're going to take
9:24
some more sprinkles, Thomas. Sprinkle.
9:26
You want me to sprinkle it
9:28
just lightly? Yeah.
9:31
All
9:34
right. What do y'all think?
9:37
There we go.
9:40
Now, what we're going to do is let this
9:41
harden up on the countertop. It should
9:44
take about 20 to 30 minutes, and then
9:46
you can finish breaking them up. These
9:48
would make great gifts. You can put
9:50
these in like tins, the Christmas
9:53
designed ones. That'll be great to give
9:56
out as Christmas presents. Put them in
9:59
your little, you know, fancy dancy
10:01
Christmas dishes with snowman on it.
10:04
Then they can open it up and go, "Look
10:06
at the snowman poop."
10:09
All right, we're going to be back. We're
10:10
going to give this a try.
10:14
Is he already trying it for you? Do we
10:16
not need to come back?
10:18
Are we done?
10:19
We need to come back.
10:19
Are we done? Are we getting a thumbs up?
10:22
All right, we'll be back. That way we
10:24
can really give it a taste after it's
10:26
already set up.
10:29
Keep an eye on him.
10:33
Got to shovel the poop.
10:37
That's why he's smiling.
10:44
All right, we're going to pull it up.
10:46
This is a nice treat to have when you're
10:48
trimming the tree.
10:50
Yep.
10:51
Yeah.
10:55
All right. When he's done shoveling the
10:57
poop, we're going to come back, try it
10:59
for you.
11:00
Yeah, I guess I'm the pooper scooper.
11:04
Snowman poop.
11:07
Let's give it a try for you.
11:10
Yeah, I'm curious to see what it tastes
11:12
like.
11:12
All right, let's give this a try.
11:14
Snowman poop.
11:22
That's really good.
11:24
The corn pops do all the work for the
11:27
flavor.
11:27
Mhm.
11:28
Yeah.
11:31
That's good. It's got a nice crunch to
11:32
it.
11:33
You get a nice little sweetness from the
11:35
powdered sugar and the white chocolate.
11:37
Yep. You definitely get that sweetness.
11:40
That's good.
11:40
It's the holidays, you guys. Don't tell
11:43
me not to put sugar in anything.
11:45
I wouldn't eat I wouldn't eat this every
11:47
day, but
11:48
no. It's a treat for Christmas, for the
11:51
holidays.
11:53
But today
11:54
it's going to be good.
11:57
All right,
11:58
we have our snowman right here
12:02
and his poop.
12:06
All right, you guys, give us a thumbs up
12:08
on this one. There's your thumbs up.
