Let's take all of the hard work out of
0:03
this classic. You don't need to measure
0:06
out flour, mix, knead, or even roll out
0:10
dough. Time is on your side with these
0:13
super easy take on cinnamon rolls. Look
0:17
how delicious these are.
0:21
All right, welcome to Catherine's
0:22
Plates, where it's simply delicious. I'm
0:25
Katherine and it's always simple, easy,
0:28
and delicious in our kitchen. Today,
0:31
let's make these delicious mini tortilla
0:36
cinnamon rolls.
0:38
Now, this recipe calls for the largest
0:41
tortilla you can find. And these are
0:44
super large burritosized
0:47
tortillas, and these are flour.
0:50
But you can use any size you want cuz
0:52
we're going to cut these anyway. But you
0:55
can get a whole lot out of this one
0:56
right here.
0:59
Let's flavor it up. We've got some
1:01
butter.
1:04
Well, about two tablespoons.
1:08
This is a dessert. These are our
1:10
cinnamon rolls. You've got guest coming
1:12
over and you need something quick. Oh,
1:15
make these. We're going to take a knife
1:18
and we're going to smooth out the
1:19
butter. End to end end all around the
1:23
circle. Just spread it out nice and
1:26
even.
1:29
You're not going to see me today if
1:31
you're used to seeing me because I had
1:34
cataract surgery
1:37
and I'm not going to be in front of the
1:38
camera for a few days till my eyes clear
1:41
up.
1:43
So, but I look forward to seeing y'all
1:45
again.
1:48
I had both eyes done at the same time
1:52
and she did really good. Yeah,
1:56
I was nervous for weeks beforehand, but
1:59
I didn't need to be. It wasn't that bad.
2:02
And she can see now. I can't make no
2:06
faces anymore. Roll my eyes, nothing.
2:12
All right. Now that we got it all nice
2:14
and buttered, nice and even,
2:20
grab you some brown sugar. You can use
2:23
regular sugar, too, if you want. Just
2:25
going to grab some. And we're going to
2:27
sprinkle it all on top of that butter.
2:31
It's just like making the cinnamon rolls
2:34
after your dough has already been rolled
2:36
out.
2:39
These are going to puff up really good.
2:43
Be nice and fluffy.
2:45
Y'all saw that at the beginning.
2:49
I think that's good right there. What do
2:51
you think?
2:52
A little sprinkle right there.
2:54
Right here. Right here. Right here.
2:57
Right there. Right there. What do y'all
2:59
think? You guys, come on.
3:02
Are y'all making these? Let me tell you,
3:04
this is all over social media. Y'all
3:06
haven't seen them yet. I'm bringing them
3:07
to you right now. All right. You can't
3:10
have a cinnamon roll without the
3:12
cinnamon.
3:15
We're going to sprinkle it.
3:19
Everything is kind of end to end.
3:26
Thomas is happy for these.
3:28
Uhhuh.
3:29
We've never made them like this before.
3:31
I
3:31
already got my coffee ready.
3:35
That look good?
3:36
Yep.
3:36
There we go.
3:38
All right, you guys. Now, what you're
3:39
going to do is we're going to roll this.
3:42
So, you want to start at the end near
3:44
you, and we're going to keep this very
3:46
tight.
3:47
So, we're going to start rolling it
3:54
very tightly.
4:11
There we go.
4:13
Now, take you a knife. I'm just using a
4:15
steak knife here. You're going to cut it
4:17
in half equal as you can get it.
4:23
And then we're going to cut those in
4:24
half.
4:28
And then we're going to cut these in
4:30
half.
4:32
And we'll leave them at this.
4:36
And then what I'm going to do, roll him
4:39
back up. Where was he going? All right.
4:43
Let's get a pan.
4:47
All right. What we're going to do is get
4:48
our butter.
4:50
We're going to put a tablespoon into the
4:52
pan and get a brush there.
4:57
You don't quite need a tablespoon. And
4:59
put it in there like that. Just enough
5:02
to keep these from sticking. So, I'm
5:04
just going to make sure it's covered on
5:07
the bottom, on the sides.
5:10
Now, if you don't want to do the butter,
5:11
you can just get some non-stick cooking
5:13
spray and just spray your pan that way.
5:17
If you're just going to make a small
5:18
batch for yourself, you can use like a
5:20
ramkin that's safe for your oven. I'm
5:23
making a bunch cuz I got Rihanna, my
5:25
daughter, coming over picking up a whole
5:26
bunch of these for everyone over there
5:28
at her house.
5:31
So, I'll be making another round of
5:33
these.
5:34
So, what we're going to do is place them
5:36
in our pan.
5:40
Put them right on top of each other.
5:45
All right, let's make some more.
5:54
We're going to take some melted butter.
5:56
I got about two tablespoons in there.
5:57
And we're going to dabble it all over
6:01
the tortilla roll-ups here.
6:10
There we go.
6:13
Got a little sprinkling of brown sugar
6:15
for the top.
6:20
Little bit of cinnamon.
6:26
All right, I've got my oven preheated at
6:28
350°.
6:30
We're going to bake these for about 20
6:32
minutes to get nice and puffy and golden
6:35
brown and delicious. Got one more thing
6:37
to do to these. Then I'm going to give
6:39
it a try for you. Now, my cinnamon rolls
6:42
just came out of the oven. We're going
6:44
to go ahead and make a nice drizzle.
6:46
We're going to be using some powdered
6:47
sugar.
6:52
Four tablespoons. I'm going to put it
6:54
into just a small bowl here. Not really
6:57
measuring.
7:00
It's even enough.
7:03
And then what we're going to do is add
7:06
some milk as we're mixing
7:12
till we get a nice drizzle.
7:16
Now, if it's too thin, you can add more
7:18
powdered sugar. And if it's too thick,
7:20
you just keep adding a little bit more
7:21
milk. I'm going to whisk this really
7:24
good. Break it all up.
7:27
We are going to add a little bit of
7:29
vanilla for some flavor. So, I got some
7:32
vanilla extract.
7:36
About a quarter of a teaspoon.
7:41
We'll blend that in.
7:44
Let's take a look at this.
7:47
Yeah.
7:50
We're going to bring them over here and
7:51
I'm going to pour this on there while
7:54
they're nice and hot. Let them get ooey
7:56
gooey with this all the way down to the
7:58
bottom.
8:04
The bottom of these are sitting in that
8:06
brown sugar butter mixture on the bottom
8:08
with that cinnamon.
8:11
Yeah.
8:13
Now, if you want this glaze to stick on
8:16
the top of these, I would cool these
8:18
down completely.
8:21
What did you say, Thomas? Did you say
8:22
make another batch of this? Maybe.
8:26
I think he did.
8:29
We got plenty of milk.
8:32
Oh, we do. Here goes our second batch.
8:35
There it is. As quick as that.
8:38
I'm going to go around the Yeah, there
8:41
we go.
8:51
Okay, look at that. Y'all look down in
8:54
there. Can y'all see in there?
8:58
Give me a spoon.
9:00
Look at this.
9:01
A straw.
9:02
Oh yeah. Almost caramelized down there.
9:06
All right, I'm going to try this for
9:08
y'all.
9:11
Here's my bite.
9:18
Wow. Look at all that.
9:23
There's your cinnamon roll right there,
9:24
you guys. As simple as that.
9:28
Fast, easy, and delicious mini tortilla
9:33
cinnamon rolls. Who's making these? All
9:36

my eyes are better, I will see y'all
9:59
again on camera. All right, you guys.
10:03
I'll see y'all. Bye.
