Welcome back everyone. Today we are
0:03
going to do a cook and review with
0:05
Trader Joe's Cinnamon Roll Blondie Bars.
0:09
Now, we just did a Trader Joe's haul a
0:12
few days ago. Check it out if you have
0:14
not seen it yet. They had a lot of new
0:16
stuff in there and yeah, we got a lot of
0:20
stuff. All right, let's go ahead and
0:23
bake this off and then we're going to
0:26
review it. So, what we're going to do is
0:28
we're going to take the directions on
0:30
the back of the box. We're going to go
0:32
through them just as is. That way, we
0:36
can know if it's going to look like this
0:38
and taste delicious. Let me tell you
0:40
what it's supposed to taste like.
0:42
Blondie bar swirled with a cinnamon roll
0:45
inspired filling and topped with glaze.
0:50
Now, the first thing we're going to do
0:51
is turn our oven on to 325°
0:54
and get that preheated. And then we're
0:56
going to get a 9 by9 baking dish,
1:02
whatever you have. And it said lightly
1:07
So, I'm going to take this over to my
1:08
sink, give it a good spraying, and I'll
1:13
Now, it says if you have any excess
1:15
grease in your pan, just kind of wipe it
1:17
out. We're going to set this aside. Now,
1:19
what we're going to do is make the
1:21
cinnamon swirl mixture. You're going to
1:23
need a small bowl, 3 tablespoon of very
1:27
softened butter, and we're going to put
1:29
that into the bowl. Bring the sunshine
1:40
All right, we'll leave that there. Let's
1:42
get inside the box here.
1:46
We're looking for the cinnamon filling
2:01
All right, that's the cinnamon swirl
2:06
We're going to open this up. We're going
2:07
to put it into the butter. And then
2:09
we're going to combine it all together.
2:22
All right. Just take your spatula, mash
2:28
Now, the mixture should be smooth and
2:33
All right, that's nice and combined.
2:43
We're going to set this aside. We're
2:46
going to bring over a medium bowl and
2:49
two eggs. Now, I just brought these to
2:56
Going to crack it into the cup.
3:10
We're going to whisk them. Get them nice
3:16
Okay, that looks good.
3:21
Now, it says to add in one stick or half
3:24
a cup of melted butter. Now, I just
3:28
taken mine out of the microwave. I'm
3:30
going to let it sit for just a minute to
3:32
kind of cool down a little bit because
3:33
if I add it now, we'll have scrambled
3:35
eggs, and we don't want that. Now, that
3:38
part is not in the instructions where
3:41
you should cool down your melted butter,
3:43
but I'm going to tell you, you need to
3:48
All right, let's add it.
3:58
get that nice and blended.
4:01
All right, we're going to bring over the
4:05
All right, this is what that package is
4:13
All right, we're just going to combine
4:20
Get it nice and absorbed. Have a nice
4:28
Let me change out my tool.
4:32
That is one thick batter. Make sure you
4:40
Now, I'm sure we don't want to over mix.
4:45
Now that that's done, we're going to
4:46
bring our prepared baking dish back
4:50
We're going to spread our mixture
4:54
in the baking dish there.
5:00
What smells delicious.
5:09
We're going to spread it out.
5:12
Get it nice and even.
5:16
I'm going to use my offset spatula
5:18
because it's a really great tool to use
5:20
for spreading thick batters,
5:23
sticky batters, things like that. So,
5:27
see, magic, right? It's a magic tool in
5:33
We want it nice and even, they said.
5:40
All right. Does that look good?
5:42
Look good. Y'all think that'll look
5:43
good? Thomas does. Like, yep, he can't
5:49
All right, next step.
5:52
Okay, we're going to take that cinnamon
5:55
and we're just going to dollop it all
5:57
around. They said about 12 dollops. So,
6:04
there. And where else? Right here.
6:07
Right there. Okay. And then it says,
6:10
take the back edge of your spoon and
6:12
just kind of press it in to your batter
6:20
You're going to take the tip of a knife,
6:23
just a butter knife, and you're going to
6:25
just swirl the cinnamon mixture into the
6:35
We're going to bake this for 25 to 30
6:38
minutes in our preheated 325 degree
6:42
oven. And you want it to be nice and
6:44
golden brown and kind of set on the top.
6:48
And then we're going to cool it down
6:49
completely in the pan. And we're going
6:55
All right, it baked up beautifully. I've
6:58
cooled it down completely.
7:01
Let's make the glaze.
7:05
Now, in the box came this package of
7:08
vanilla glaze. We're going to add that
7:10
to a kind of a small medium bowl there.
7:18
It's nice that it's all prepared for you
7:19
here. All packaged up.
7:22
Now, it said add in one tablespoon of
7:27
Now, if it's not enough, you can always
7:29
adjust it if you want it thinner. I'm
7:32
going to take a small whisk. You can
7:33
take a fork. Just kind of blend this
7:35
together. You want to make sure it's
7:37
going to drizzle. There we go. Let's
7:42
cinnamon roll blondie bar back over.
7:47
They said drizzle it on top.
8:01
I think these are a little flatter
8:04
and not as fluffy as these look right
8:07
here. And they also drizzled after they
8:10
cut them. Made them like really nice on
8:13
the box. But they tell you to harden the
8:16
drizzle on these and then cut them and
8:19
serve them up. All right,
8:28
I'm going to give it a try for you. It's
8:35
You just definitely taste the cinnamon
8:39
Vanilla in there. Mhm.
8:45
My only concern is I wish it would have,
8:48
you know, risen up a little bit more,
8:50
made it more fluffy on the inside. It's
8:52
a little dense. All right, you guys tell
8:55
me what you think. If you've ever made
8:57
this one from Trader Joe's, let us know.
8:59
Let us know what your thoughts are on
9:01
it. These are good. They're going to go
9:03
quick here in this house. All right, you
9:05
guys. Thumbs up. Comment down below if
9:08
you want us to try anything else at
9:09
Trader Joe's. Let us know. Go check out
9:13
