  • pie plate
  • small bowls

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 1 (8 ct) refrigerated grands flaky biscuit dough

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1-2 TBS ground cinnamon

Chocolate Glaze

  • 8 oz semi sweet or other flavor chocolate chips
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • Open tube of refrigerated biscuit dough and place spaced apart on a floured or non-stick work surface.
  • Split each donut in half to create 2 halves.
  • Using a clean bottle cap or a shot glass, cut through the center of each 1/2 biscuit dough to create the donut holes.
  • Using avocado spray, olive oil spray, lightly coat the inside tray of your air fryer. Place 4-5 of the dough pieces spaced apart on the tray in the basket of air fryer.
  • Close basket of air fryer and set temperature to 360 degrees for 4 minutes. Halfway through cooking time (2 minutes) open basket and turn the biscuits over, cook an additional 2 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, melt 1 stick of butter in a glass pie plate. In a separate bowl whisk together sugar and cinnamon.
  • Once the donuts are golden brown and cooked through remove and place into butter coating on all sides. Place into sugar cinnamon mixture and toss to coat. Place on a serving platter.
  • If melting chocolate to make a glaze, place chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and set timer for 20 seconds. Stir and melt an additional 20 seconds and stir. Keep this process until chocolate is smooth and spreadable. You can dunk the top of donut into chocolate to coat.
NOTE: you can also use a pastry brush to over the donut with chocolate.
  • NOTE: Don't forget to place the donut holes into the air fryer spaced apart. Cook for 3 minutes. After the first 1 1/2 minutes, pull tray out and shake the donut holes and place back in for 1 1/2 more minutes. I like to put them right into the leftover melted butter and toss to coat. Remove them and place right into the extra cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Enjoy.
