In a large skillet over medium high heat brown up ground beef and onion. Drain excess grease.
Push meat to the side of skillet and add butter. Melt butter. Sprinkle in flour over the butter and browned ground meat. Slowly stir flour into butter incorporating the ground beef until completely mixed. Stir for additional 2 minutes to cook the raw taste out of the flour.
Stir in salt, pepper, garlic power, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and beef broth.
Bring to a boil over high heat. Lower heat to a medium and allow sauce to thicken.
Great to serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
