Cake Mix Cookie – Green Crinkle

These cookies are so easy to make using any flavor of boxed cake mix for an easy and yummy treat.

Cake Mix Cookie - Green Crinkle

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 oz) box cake mix, yellow, white, or vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 10-12 drops food coloring, I used green

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Mix cake mix, eggs, and butter together. Stir in food coloring until well combined.
  • Using a 1 inch cookie scoop or a TBS scoop dough and form into balls. Roll in the powdered sugar.
  • Place on a prepared sheet pan. Take the bottom of a glass and smash down the cookie balls to a 1/4 inch or so.
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.

  • Love your YouTube channel and site. Thanks for all your effort. Are the cake mix boxes in your area still 18.25 oz.? In NJ they are now 15.25 oz. and I’ve had to adjust many of my “doctored” cake mix cookie and cake recipes.

I had thought about making cookies out of a box cake but hadn’t until I came across your’s and you make so many different ones I love for the Holidays.
