Cast Iron Skillet Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg dry active yeast
  • 1 cup warm water 110 degrees
  • 2 TBS warm water 110 degrees
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 TBS butter melted
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 cups Flour

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add yeast, warm water, and sugar. Mix well until sugar is dissolved. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add butter, egg, and salt. Mix well. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time mixing well until it forms a dough ball and pulls away from bowl.
  • Turn out dough ball onto floured surface. Divide into 12 equal balls. Place into lightly greased skillet. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. After dough is risen, place in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, rotate pan once halfway through.
  • Brush melted butter on tops of rolls after baking.
  • Enjoy.
