Christmas Candy Bark

A delicious sweet treat great for giving as Christmas gifts are having at home.

Equipment

  • large mixing bowl
  • microwave safe medium mixing bowl
  • 13" x 17" sheet pan

Ingredients

  • 18 oz almond bark with vanilla flavoring (or you can use regular chocolate chips that are semi-sweet, dark chocolate, or milk chocolate. OR use white morsel chips.
  • 1 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups red & green M&Ms
  • 1 cup crushed pecans or other favorite type of nuts
  • 1 cup rice Chex cereal or other flavor or other type of cereal
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • white chocolate chips as a topping
  • red & green sprinkles as a topping

Instructions

  • Place wax paper, parchment paper, or a silicone mat onto a 13" x 17" baking pan and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine pretzels, cereal, M&Ms, marshmallows, and nuts.
  • In a medium microwave safe bowl place almond bark and melt for 90 seconds. Stir. Place back in microwave in 15 second increments to finish melting the bark.
  • Pour melted bark onto prepared baking pan and smooth out to cover pan.
  • Pour the pretzel, cereal, M&Ms, marshmallow and nut mixture all over the melted bark pressing into the bark evenly. (all mixture may not be needed.)
  • Melt extra white morsel chips and drizzle over top. Sprinkle with sprinkles.
  • Place in freezer for 2 hours to set up or refrigerator for 4-5 hours or you can leave on countertop longer until it sets and is solid.
  • Break into large pieces and keep in an air tight container.
