Citrus Glazed Holiday Ham

Equipment

  • large deep baking pan

Ingredients

  • 9 lb spiral sliced bone in hickory smoked ham
  • 34 cup fresh squeezed orange juice or prepared orange juice, DIVIDED
  • 4 TBS dijon mustard, DIVIDED
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 TBS corn starch

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place ham spiral slice side down in a large baking pan.
  • Mix together 1/4 cup orange juice and 2 TBS dijon mustard. Pour over top of ham getting into the slices. Seal baking dish with foil tightly.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes per pound of ham.
  • Remove ham from oven. Turn ham over.
  • In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, bring to a simmer 1/2 cup of orange juice, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 TBS dijon mustard, 1/2 tsp ground ginger and 2 TBS corn starch.
    Pour mixture over ham and in between the slices.
  • Lower oven temperature to 325 degrees. Place ham back into oven uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Remove ham and enjoy.
