In the sleeve of the crockpot mix together brown sugar, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic.
Place wings into crockpot with sauce and mix well to coat the chicken wings entirely.
Cover crockpot with lid and cook for 1-2 hours on high or 2 1/2 - 3 hours on low for thawed wings. After this time is up, wings should be tender and cooked through.
If wings are frozen add an additional 1-3 hours. After this time is up, wings should be tender and cooked through.
Place wings from crockpot onto a foil covered baking sheet.
Place the sauce from crockpot into a medium sauce pan on medium high heat. Stir continuously for 6-7 minutes until thickened. (if needed, use a corn starch slurry of 1 tsp corn starch mixed with 2 tsp water and add to sauce to help thicken.)
Slather the thickened sauce over the wings coating the top and bottom of wings.
Place wings into oven set to "BROIL" for 2-3 minutes to caramelize sauce and char bits of wing. Add more sauce and broil again if desired.
Remove from oven.
