Easy as 1-2-3 Microwave Mug Cakes

Equipment

  • microwave safe mugs (8 oz)
  • 52 oz air tight glass or plastic food grade containers or large ziploc storage bag
  • measuring spoons
  • small bowl for water
  • fork

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix (your favorite flavor)
  • 1 box angel food cake mix
  • small bowl water
  • optional toppings (ice cream, cool whip, chocolate syrup, frosting, etc.)

Instructions

  • In a large air tight container empty in one box of your favorite flavor of cake mix and one box of angel food cake mix. Close container tight and shake well to combine both cake mixes.
    NOTE: use a whisk afterwards if needed.
  • Place 3 TBS of the combined cake mix into a microwave safe mug.
    NOTE: I find an 8 oz mug works well.
  • Place 2 TBS of water into mug with the cake mix. Mix together the water and cake mix with a fork until thoroughly combined.
  • Place the mug in microwave on 100% power for 1 minute. Remove from microwave carefully with a towel, if needed.
  • Let sit on counter for 30 seconds before removing from mug onto a plate or bowl.
    NOTE: go ahead and enjoy in the mug, if desired.
  • Serve with favorite dessert toppings (ice cream, whipped topping, chocolate syrup, frosting, etc.
