Golden Chicken in the Crockpot
Only 5 ingredients to make this golden chicken with gravy in your crockpot/slow cooker. So rich and delicious.

Ingredients
- 8 piece fryer my recipe calls for skin on, bone on chicken: 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 drumsticks, 2 thighs (you can use whatever chicken pieces you want for this recipe)
- 1 (10.75oz) can cream of celery soup (or mushroom or chicken)
- 1 (10.75oz) can chicken broth
- 1 ( .87oz) package dry chicken gravy mix
- 1 (1.0oz) package dry ranch dressing mix
- seasonings if needed: (salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika)
- extra ingredient, if needed: cooking oil
- corn starch
- opt garnish: green onions sliced or fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season all sides of the chicken pieces. Heat 2 TBS of oil in large skillet until hot. Place chicken pieces in hot pan and sear until golden brown on one side. Flip chicken over and sear other side until golden. Spray 6 quart crockpot with non-stick cooking spray and place seared chicken pieces into crockpot. Finish searing remaining chicken and add to crockpot. (add additional oil to pan, if needed for the searing process).
- Turn off burner. In the same large skillet add cream of soup, chicken broth, gravy mix, and ranch seasoning mix. Mix well to incorporate all ingredients. Pour mixture all over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Place lid on crockpot and cook for 3 1/2 – 4 hours on high or 5-6 hours on low. Cooking time will depend on size of your chicken.
- Once chicken is cooked through and fall of the bone tender, remove chicken from crockpot. Add 2 – 2 1/2 TBS cornstarch to liquid in crockpot and whisk together until thickened to a gravy consistency.Pour gravy over chicken and garnish with sliced green onions or parsley. Serve over mashed potatoes, cooked rice or pasta.
