Equipment

  • 9" x 9" baking dish or pan
  • Medium sauce pan
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks butter (12 TBS)
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white morsels chips
  • 3/4 cup candy corns

Instructions

  • In a medium sauce pan melt butter over medium high heat and allow to come to a sizzle. Stir for 3-4 minutes until butter starts to brown. Turn off burner.
  • Stir brown sugar into browned butter until combined and glossy. Should take 2 minutes. Pour mixture into a small bowl and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to cool.
NOTE: cooling the mixture will keep the eggs from scrambling in the mixture when it's hot. So make sure you cool it down first.
  • Once mixture is cool, stir in eggs and vanilla.
  • Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in white morsels and candy corns.
  • Pour batter into a greased 9" x 9" baking dish and spread evenly.
NOTE: you can also line with parchment paper to remove blondies after baked.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through. Remove from oven and sprinkle on ADDITONAL candy corns and white morsels and gently press into blondies.
Allow blondies to cool completely. Cut into bars.
