  • pastry brush

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough sheets
  • 1 lb deli sliced ham
  • 12 cheddar cheese sticks
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 TBS Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 TBS dried minced onion
  • 1/2 TBS poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Roll out crescent roll dough sheet and cut into 4 equal pieces using a pizza cutter or large sharp knife.
NOTE: if using the original triangle crescent dough. Roll out the dough. Pinch together the perforated edges. Then cut the dough sheet into 4 equal pieces.
  • Distribute 3 pieces of sliced ham onto each of the 4 pieces of dough. (You should use 12 pieces of ham for the 4 pieces of dough.)
  • Place 1 1/2 of the cheese sticks in the center of each of the 4 pieces of dough longways on top of the ham.
  • Starting one of the long edges of dough roll the dough and ham over the cheese and keep rolling to the end to seal.
  • Place ham & cheese sticks onto the prepared sheet pan leaving space between each one.
  • Prepare 2nd roll of crescent roll dough, ham, and cheese using the steps above. This recipe will make 8 ham & cheese sticks.

Let's make the glaze.

  • In a medium bowl whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire, dijon, onion, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush the mixture on top of each ham & cheese stick generously.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 or so until golden brown and cooked through. Top with fresh or dried parsley for a pop of color. Enjoy hot.
