Ultimate Baked Beans

Equipment

  • 12 inch cast iron skillet or 9 x 13 baking dish skillet or dish needs to be oven safe
  • sheet pan lined with parchment
  • cutting board and sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 2 (28 oz) cans original baked beans
  • 1/4 cup ketcup
  • 2 TBS mustard
  • 1 TBS minced garlic
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 cup molassass
  • 6-8 pcs cooked bacon (crisp & golden brown) chopped
  • 1/2 medium red onion, diced
  • sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a 12 inch cast iron skillet or 9 x 13 baking dish place all ingredients and mix well to combine.
  • Bake in 350 degreed oven for 1 hour. Garnish with sliced green onions and enjoy.
  • NOTE: To make oven cooked bacon, place uncooked bacon on a parchment lined deep baking pan and bake in a 425 degree preheated oven for 15 – 18 minutes until crisp and golden brown. Let bacon drain on a paper towel covered plate. Chop into bite size pieces.
