Ingredients

  • 1-2 TBS cooking oil
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion Diced
  • 1 TBS Chili Powder
  • 1 TBS cumin powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 14 oz chicken broth or stock
  • 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz uncooked pasta
  • 8 oz Shredded Cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened and lightly browned.
  • Add ground beef and brown thoroughly.
  • Add in spices (chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper) and stir to combine for 1 minute.
  • Pour in water, chicken broth, and tomatoes. Stir. Turn heat to "high" and bring to a simmer.
  • Add uncooked pasta, stir to combine. Lower heat to a medium and place lid on. Cook for 9-12 minutes. Stir every few minutes to prevent sticking to bottom of pan. Check pasta also. (If you feel you need more liquid you can add at this point.)
  • Once pasta is cooked tender, turn off heat. Sprinkle cheese over dish and mix to combine. Enjoy.
