Hello everyone and happy Thanksgiving. I
0:03
am bringing you our Thanksgiving haul.
0:06
We have a big Thanksgiving happening for
0:10
us. We got 10 people coming. So, I am
0:13
super excited to be putting this one
0:14
together. There's going to be people
0:16
bringing a few things. That'll help me
0:19
out a lot. But we got all this. We went
0:22
to Costco. We went to HB. And then we
0:25
went to Walmart to kind of finish it
0:26
off. We're going to start on one side of
0:28
the table, kind of work our way down.
0:30
I'm going to show you what we got and
0:31
why we got it. Thanksgiving is not
0:34
Thanksgiving unless I make the punch.
0:37
Now, our punch consists of three
0:38
ingredients. I got the two Seven Ups,
0:42
two pineapple juices, and a lime
0:45
sherbet. This stuff will go fast on
0:48
Thanksgiving, especially with 10 people
0:50
drinking it.
0:52
Now, I picked up some blueberries
0:55
because I'm going to make blueberry
0:56
biscuits for Thomas. He'll be happy with
0:58
that. And then I got some strawberries
1:01
just because I wanted some strawberries
1:03
and they looked really good. Now, I got
1:06
some dinner yeast rolls. These are the
1:09
Sister Schuberts. They come 10 rolls to
1:12
a pack. So, I'm hoping these are going
1:13
to be enough. That'll give us 20 rolls.
1:16
I like these cuz they're already done.
1:17
You just kind of heat and serve pretty
1:19
much with that. All right, we're going
1:21
to come back here.
1:24
I picked up some pioneer yellow
1:27
cornbread mix because we're going to
1:29
make cornbread dressing with the
1:31
cornbread mix. Here
1:35
I'm going to be making. Now, this is my
1:36
mom's recipe that she made all the time.
1:39
Even back when I was little, I remember
1:41
this recipe. And it is h sweet potatoes.
1:44
It's got marshmallows on it. and she
1:46
would use the canned yams and doctor
1:48
them up and then put the marshmallows on
1:50
top and bake it in the oven. Those are
1:52
so good. We all like it. So, I got two
1:55
big cans of that.
1:59
Now, I picked up some corn and green
2:02
beans. Two cans of each.
2:05
And then I've got a can of cranberry
2:07
sauce.
2:10
Now, I needed to pick up some Reynolds
2:13
Wrap heavy duty. That's to take care of
2:15
the ham. And I picked up some wax paper.
2:20
I'm making some candy for you guys. It's
2:22
coming out of my dessert cookbook
2:24
recipe. So, check that one out. That'll
2:27
be good one for Christmas. And then I
2:29
got some cling and seal for those
2:32
leftovers.
2:34
And then I picked up two things of
2:36
plates here. These are the 10 by 12.
2:40
Don't they look like they'll hold a lot?
2:43
Yeah. All right. I got some white
2:46
cheddar cheese.
2:49
I got some broccoli in the refrigerator
2:51
that I had I need to use up. And then
2:53
I'm going to make a broccoli rice
2:55
casserole.
2:57
All right.
2:59
I picked up some brown gravy mix cuz
3:01
people like the brown gravy. Now, I'm
3:04
also going to be making a turkey gravy
3:06
and I'm going to talk about that here in
3:08
just a minute when we talk about the
3:10
turkey.
3:12
We got a 18 count of eggs. Now, this is
3:15
totally for the devild eggs. That's how
3:17
many I'm making. Cuz let me tell you,
3:20
when people in this house love a devild
3:22
eggs and the family that's coming, they
3:25
love devild eggs. They'll be eating
3:27
before the turkey hits the table. That's
3:30
how fast that's going to be like an
3:31
appetizer. Now, I have another appetizer
3:35
I'm going to be making, and that is a
3:36
spinach artichoke
3:39
dip on a puff pastry. So, I'm going to
3:42
try this recipe out that I found. It's
3:44
only two ingredients. It's going to be
3:46
good.
3:47
Make sure you thaw out your puff pastry
3:50
to make that. And then this is already
3:52
made spinach and artichoke dip that you
3:54
can find in your refrigerated section of
3:56
your store. So, we'll be bringing that
3:58
out.
4:00
Now, we have the candy section over
4:04
here. I'm going to be making a Rocky
4:07
Road fudge. That'll be coming up after
4:10
this video here for you guys. So, I got
4:12
the peanuts, the sweetened condensed
4:15
milk,
4:17
and of course, you got to have the
4:19
marshmallows, right? As you can see, I
4:21
got two. One's for the candy jams, and
4:24
one is for the Rocky Road fudge. And
4:27
then I got my semi sweet chocolate chips
4:31
for the rocky road. And then I have this
4:33
here. Thomas and I are going to be doing
4:36
a separate candy video. It's going to be
4:38
a fun one. And there's going to be two
4:39
candies in it. And it's going to be for
4:41
Christmas. And you'll see that one in
4:43
the next week or so.
4:46
So, we got that. And we're also going to
4:48
be using
4:50
Reese's minis. These are unwrapped.
4:53
Thank goodness. That's part of our candy
4:55
show for Thomas and I.
4:57
And look at this. It involves Thomas's
5:01
favorite cereal
5:03
from a long time ago. We were super
5:06
excited because he used to love corn
5:07
pops and that's going to be part of the
5:09
candy. We're excited about that. And
5:12
then we're going to be using some almond
5:15
bark on one of the candies because we're
5:17
going to be using white chocolate chips
5:18
on the other one. So y'all stay tuned
5:21
for that one. All right, let's go talk
5:24
about the meat. Now, for the meats, I'm
5:27
going to be heating up a spiral sliced
5:30
ham, hickory smoked. We got this from
5:33
Costco.
5:35
We're all excited about that one. Now, I
5:38
was also looking for a smoked turkey
5:40
that they advertised, but I didn't find
5:43
those. They didn't have any turkey at
5:46
all. What was up with that? So, I picked
5:48
up another butterball boneless turkey
5:51
breast roast. Now, I've made one of
5:54
these for you guys a couple of weeks
5:56
ago, and it was my crockot or slow
5:58
cooker turkey, y'all. It makes the best
6:02
gravy, too. Cuz not only am I going to
6:04
be making that brown gravy that we
6:06
talked about, I'm going to be making
6:08
that turkey gravy also from that juices
6:11
that are left in the crock pot. Oh, it
6:13
makes a delicious gravy. Thomas is
6:16
excited about that one. Now, I got three
6:20
lbs of ground beef. What am I doing with
6:22
that for Thanksgiving?
6:25
Making my famous meatballs. They're
6:27
Swedish meatballs. And this goes way
6:30
back until I can remember when I was a
6:32
little child. My mom made meatballs all
6:34
the time for the holidays. So, I took
6:37
that tradition and carried it forward.
6:40
And people love these on Thanksgiving
6:42
and on Christmas to eat with our turkey
6:44
and their ham. So, I never make enough.
6:48
Well, I'm making enough this time. It's
6:50
happening.
6:53
Now, we have some carrots
6:55
because I already have the celery in the
6:57
refrigerator and I didn't need to get
6:59
extra that. So, um we'll cook those up
7:02
with the turkey.
7:04
Now, I had my list and we did go to
7:07
Costco, HB, and Walmart to get
7:10
everything. And when we went to Walmart,
7:13
the stuff that we got from HB and
7:14
Costco, we had put in the refrigerator
7:16
and then went back to the store. So, I
7:18
have a few days to get this thought out
7:20
right here or it's going in the crock
7:22
pot first thing Thanksgiving morning,
7:24
which is in 4 days. So, I got to get
7:28
that thawed. And y'all, we got 10 people
7:32
coming. It's going to be Thomas, me, my
7:36
mom, and then we got Rihanna, who's our
7:38
daughter, and her boyfriend Chris. And
7:41
then we have Joseph, who's our son, and
7:44
Megan, his fiance. Y'all, when I say we
7:48
are super excited because they are
7:50
getting married in less than two weeks.
7:52
We've been on the wedding stuff
7:55
preparation, getting ready for
7:57
Thanksgiving and the holidays and trying
7:59
to get y'all videos, too. But y'all, I'm
8:02
super excited. Oh, I can't even talk
8:04
about it because it'll just bring me to
8:05
tears, right? Happy tears. Anyway,
8:08
Thomas over there rolling his eyes.
8:12
All right. And then we have my brother
8:15
Donald, his wife Donna, and their son
8:18
Elliot coming. So, 10 people, and
8:21
they're all bringing stuff, too. Like
8:23
the green bean casserole. That's Donna's
8:25
recipe. I'm super excited about that
8:26
because she brings it all the time.
8:29
All right, you guys. We want to wish
8:32
y'all a happy Thanksgiving.
8:35
We've still got recipes to bring you.
8:37
The Rocky Road will be next after this
8:39
one. We hope. And I got a casserole for
8:42
you guys. Thomas and I are doing a candy
8:44
show and we're on way until Christmas
8:48
with some fun stuff for you guys. All
8:50
right, I got to put everything away.
8:52
We've been trumping around for a few
8:54
days trying to get everything for
8:56
Thanksgiving. So, we'll see y'all on the
8:58
next episode. Remember, life is short.
9:00
Lick the spoon. Fudge coming your way.
9:03
Bye.
