Peanut Butter Blossoms

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 48 hershey chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl using an electric hand mixer cream together the butter and peanut butter. Add in vanilla and eggs and beat well. Add in both sugars and mix again until well combined.
  • In a medium bowl place flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Run this flour mixture through a sifter into peanut butter mixture. (This step is optional, you can just add the flour mixture into peanut butter mixture without sifting. Mix well to combine.
  • Using a cookie scoop roll dough into 1" balls. Roll into sugar to cover. Place onto a nonstick baking sheet leaving space in between. Bake in oven for 8 minutes until edges of cookie are a light golden brown.
  • Remove cookies from oven and immediately place 1 chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow to cool on pan for 3 minutes then remove cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
