Pigs in a Blanket with Dipping Sauce (Lit'l Smokies)

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pkg crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup mustard, yellow
  • 24 lit'l smokies
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten with 1 TBS water
  • poppy seeds or sesame seeds

Dipping Sauce

  • 2 TBS sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonaise
  • 2-3 TBS stone ground mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • unroll crescent dough and pull apart triangles. Lightly brush yellow mustard on each triangle of dough.
  • Using a pizza cutter or a knife, cut each triangle longwise into 3 pieces.
  • Place 1 smokie on larger end and roll to small end. Place seam side down onto a prepared baking pan.
  • Lightly coat each crescent rolled smokie. Sprinkle all with poppy seeds or sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Mix sauce ingredients together and place into a serving bowl. Enjoy.
