Retro Cocoa-Cola Jello Salad

Jiggly fruit dessert with cherries & pineapple flavors with a little kick from cocoa-cola.

Equipment

  • jello mold
  • Medium sauce pan
  • whisk or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 (21oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 (3oz) boxes cherry jello powder
  • 1 cup cocoa-cola
  • 1 (20oz) can crushed pineapple

Instructions

  • In medium sauce pan combine cherry pie filing, sugar, and water bringing to a boil over high heat. Stir for 2 minutes to dissolve the sugar.
  • Stir in both jello packages until dissolved for 2 minutes.
  • Place sauce pan in refrigerator for at least 30-45 minutes until partially set. (DO NOT LET SET UP ENTIRELY.)
  • Remove from refrigerator and pour in cocoa-cola & crushed pineapple. Stir well to combine.
  • Pour mixture into jello mold & cover with plastic wrap. Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours until its set up solid.
  • Unmold unto a serving platter and serve.
