Sticky Honey & Garlic Sausage & Pasta Skillet

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 oz dry uncooked spaghetti noodles
  • 1/2 TBS salt
  • 1 (14oz) link of kielbasa sausage or other linked sausage
  • 1-2 TBS cooking oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 TBS apple cider vinegar
  • 1 TBS dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (OPTIONAL)

Instructions

  • In a large pot of boiling water add 1/2 TBS salt & 8 oz uncooked spaghetti. Stir. Cook per instructions on back of package for tender noodles. Drain and set aside in the pot.
    NOTE: coat cooked drained spaghetti with 1 tsp cooking oil to prevent it from sticking together.
  • In a large deep skillet heat 1-2 TBS cooking oil over medium high heat. Cut sausage into bite size pieces.
    NOTE: cut sausage link into 4 large pieces. Cut each piece in half lengthwise. Cut the lengthwise pieces into 4 pieces. Cut the long pieces into bite size pieces.
  • Place sausage pieces into hot skillet. Stir around until halfway browned. Add in diced onion and cook until onion is softened and sausage is fully browned and has charred bits on them.
    Stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, dried parsley, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (opt). Stir to fully coat the sausage with the sauce. Let simmer for 2 minutes to thicken.
  • Stir in drained and cooked spaghetti into the sauce. Coat well and serve.
