Vintage Strawberry Delight Salad Recipe

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
  • 1 (20oz) can crushed pineapple, drained well
  • 1 (21oz) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (16oz) cool whip or heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • optional (fresh strawberries diced)

Instructions

  • Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, in large bowl beat sweetened condensed milk until fluffy and white in color. (To chill condensed milk, place can in refrigerator over night or place in freezer for 20 minutes before making recipe.)
  • still using the electric hand mixer or stand mixer, add in drained pineapple and strawberry pie filling, mix until well combined.
  • If using fresh heavy whipping cream for the whipped topping, use a large bowl to whip 16 ounces of heavy whipping cream until firm peaks appear.
  • Fold whipped topping or cool whip into condensed milk mixture until combined. Mix in pecans. Spread mixture into baking dish and chill in refrigerator until set. You can add fresh strawberries on top if desired.
