Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 9 inch deep dish pie crust thawed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1 1/4 cups Water
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 TBS strawberry gelatin powder
  • 3 TBS corn starch
  • whipped topping garnish
  • extra strawberries garnish

Instructions

  • Bake pie crust to the instructions on package and allow to cool.
  • Rinse and dry strawberries. Cut off stems and cut strawberries into quarters.
  • In a medium sauce pan on medium heat, heat up water, sugar and corn starch to a boil and allow to thicken. Add strawberry gelatin and mix until combined. Allow to cool.
  • Place fresh strawberries into pie shell. Pour sugar mixture over strawberries and spread evenly.
  • Chill in refrigerator for 4 hours. Slice and garnish with whipped topping and extra strawberries.
