Ultimate Stuffed Pizza Sliders
A great way to make fun appetizers, lunch or dinner using your favorite pizza toppings and flavorings in dinner rolls or Hawaiian king rolls. Give these a try.
Equipment
- 9 x 13 baking dish
Ingredients
- 1 (12ct) pkg bakery dinner rolls or hawaiian king rolls (need to be fully cooked rolls)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 4 TBS butter, melted
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 TBS dried parsley flakes
Have Fun With The Toppings
- any pizza toppings will work.
- make sure to brown up any type of raw meat like ground beef, bacon, or sausage
- make sure to saute bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I like to season with salt and pepper, and saute with a little butter.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a 9 x 13 baking dish with parchment paper for ease of pulling out the pizza sliders. Or butter the bottom and sides of baking dish.
- Place dinner rolls in prepared baking dish. Using a small sharp knife cut out circles from tops of rolls. Pull out as much of the bread as you can leaving the bottom of rolls intact.NOTE: keep all of the excess bread, dry it out, process into crumbs and freeze. No waste.
- In a small bowl mix together melted butter, Italian seasoning, and melted butter. Using a pastry brush cover the insides of the rolls with butter mixture.
- Place 1 TBS of jarred pizza or pasta sauce into bottoms of rolls. Sprinkle 1-2 TBS mozzarella cheese over sauce in the bottom of rolls.Add as much of the toppings that you like, making sure to stuff your pizza sliders full. Top with additional sauce and/or mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with dried parsley.
- Loosely cover baking dish with foil. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-12 minutes until cheese has melted.
- Remove from oven and enjoy while warm.
Everyone can customize their very own pizza slider! Terrific for any time!??????????
