Whoopie Pie Cake
A delicious decadent cake made easy with Boxed Cake Mix. The scrumptious marshmallow cream center brings this one home.

- 12 cup standard bundt pan

Ingredients
Cake Ingredients
- 1 (15.25 oz) box Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
- 1 (3.9 oz) box Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup butter, melted (1 1/2 sticks)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Marshmallow Cream Center
- 10 TBS softened butter
- 1 (7 oz) tub marshmallow cream
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Chocolate Frosting
- 3 TBS heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 12 cup bundt pan and set aside.
Baking Cake
- In a large bowl, using an electric hand mixer, beat together dry cake mix, dry pudding mix, milk, melted butter, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla for 2 minutes until smooth. (Batter will be thick.)
- Pour batter into prepared bundt pan. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes until sides pull away from pan, firm on top and a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and place onto a wire rack and allow to completely cool.Cut cake in half lengthwise and set aside.
Making Cream Filing
- In a large bowl cream butter until smooth using electric hand mixer. Beat in marshmallow cream and vanilla until combined.Add in powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time until well combined.
- Spread cream filling evenly over bottom portion of cake. Place top portion of cake on top of filling.
Chocolate Frosting
- In a small sauce pan heat 3 TBS heavy whipping cream to a simmer. Add in chocolate chips and stir until melted. Turn off heat.
- Spoon frosting on cake evenly.
