- 4 medium boneless pork chops (1/2 - 3/4 inch thick)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 TBS cooking oil
- 1 TBS butter
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (5.2 oz) package Garlic & Herb Boursin Cheese
- fresh parsley, chopped (Garnish)
Remove Pork chops from refrigerator 15 minutes before cooking. Blot dry with paper towel. Season front & back of pork chops with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Add oil & butter to skillet and heat over medium high heat until butter has melted.
Add seasoned pork chops to hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and seared on the bottom. Flip over pork chops and sear for 3-4 additional minutes until golden brown and seared on both sides. Remove chops to a plate and set aside.
Add 1 TBS additional cooking oil to skillet and add diced onion. Cook until onion has softened. Add in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Place Boursin cheese in and break apart and stir until melted. Simmer 3 minutes.
Place cooked pork chops back in skillet and smother into the sauce. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until sauce has thickened slightly and pork chops are fully cooked through. (Check temperature using kitchen meat thermometer reading at least 145 degrees.)
Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with cooked rice, mashed potatoes or pasta. Add your favorite vegetable.
