Philly Cheese Steak Pizza with Easy White Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough I used pillsbury refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 lb box steak ums or use a ribeye steak cut very thinly.
  • 1 TBS cooking oil
  • 1 TBS butter
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced thinly and cut in half
  • 1/2 onion, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup alfredo sauce or 1/2 cup homemade white sauce, see below
  • 1 cup blended mozzarella & provolone shredded cheese
  • salt, pepper, and garlic powder; to taste

White (Alfredo) Sauce

  • 1 TBS butter
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • If make homemade white (alfredo sauce) place all ingredients for sauce into a medium sauce pan and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Prep pizza dough onto pizza pan and place into preheated oven for 8 munutes. Once done, remoe from oven and set aside.
  • While pizza is cooking in oven, place 1 TBS butter and 1 TBS cooking oil into a large skillet on medium high and heat up.
  • Place sliced peppers and onions into skillet. Salt & pepper. Cook until softened.
  • Cut steakums into bite size pieces and add to peppers and onions. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until all steakums are browned and cooked through.
  • Add white sauce to semi cooked pizza dough and spread evenly.
  • Place 1/2 cup of blended cheese shreds evenly over sauce.
  • Place steakum, peppers, and onions mixture evenly over cheee.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup of blended cheese shreds over meat mixture.
  • Bake in 400 degree oven for about 10-12 minutes. Cheese with be bubbly and lighlty browned. Crust will be golden brown. Enjoy
