Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a large bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray very well.
In a medium bowl sift flour, salt, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg together.
In a separate large mixing bowl whisk together oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Slowly add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients while whisking together.
Fold in nuts & diced apples until just combined.
Pour batter into prepared bundt pan and spread evenly.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Remove cake from oven.
In a small sauce pan melt butter, sugar, and milk over medium high heat. Stir for 3 minutes until sugar has melted into butter.
Poke holes through out cake using a skewer, toothpick or fork. Slowly pour the topping all over the hot cake in bundt pan.
Allow cake to cool before inverting cake onto a serving platter or cake dish.NOTE: run a knife along all of the edges and the tube of the bundt cake to help release cake
