Breakfast Pork Chops

Skillet Pork Chops with delicious seasonings and no breading. Cook up fast and easy but so delicious.

Equipment

  • Large deep skillet or cast iron skillet

Ingredients

  • 4 bone in pork chops (thin cut)
  • 3 TBS cooking oil
  • 2 TBS butter

Seasoning Blend

  • 1 TBS minced onion, dry
  • 1 TBS garlic powder
  • 1 TBS paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp ceyenne pepper powder (to taste)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl mix together all seasoning blend ingredients listed. (minced onion, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, salt and ceyenne pepper)
  • Lay out thin cut pork chops on clean work surface. Sprinkle on and rub in seasoning blend on front and back sides of the chops. Let sit for a few minutes.
  • Place a large skillet or cast iron skillet on a burner over medium high heat. Add oil and butter. Allow butter to melt and start sizzling.
  • Place pork chops into hot skillet in one layer. (Cook in batches)
  • Fry pork chops for 2-3 minutes until seared on the bottoms. Turn pork chops over. Place a smaller lid on top of pork chops to cover, keep chops flat and make them tender. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
  • Add more butter and oil if cooking in batches. Enjoy.
