Ingredients
1-2TBScooking oil
12ozlinked sausage cut into 1/4 inch disks (circles)any flavor (I use chicken & apple)
1mediumyellow onion, diced
6TBSbutter
1headcabbage, sliced thin (4-5 cups)
1TBSseasoning blend
1cupheavy whipping cream
1/2cupchicken broth
1/2cupparmesan cheese, shredded
1/2blockcream cheese (4 oz softened)
salt & pepper, to taste (if needed)
Instructions
In a large deep skillet heat oil. Add sliced sausage and cook in one layer until browned on bottom side. Turn sausage over and cook until that side is browned and sausage is crispy on edges. Remove from skillet.
In same skillet add a drizzle of oil (1 TBS). Cook onion over medium high heat until softened and lightly browned.
Stir in butter into the onions until melted. Add in sliced cabbage and seasoning. Stir until cabbage is wilted.
Add in cream cheese, chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, parmesan cheese, and salt & pepper (to taste). Stir until combined. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add cooked sausage into cabbage alfredo and stir to combine and heated through. Turn off heat and allow to thicken for a few minutes. Enjoy.
