Equipment

  • cutting board & sharp knife
  • large mixing bowl
  • 9 x 13 baking dish
  • measuring cups & spoons

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken chopped in bite size pieces (I use rotisserie chicken)
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 10.5 oz can cream of chicken condensed soup
  • 1 oz packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup cooked bacon pieces, DIVIDED
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, DIVIDED
  • 30 oz bag frozen tater tots
  • green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp each black pepper, garlic powder, paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In large mixing bowl mix together cooked chicken, sour cream, cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, 3/4 cup of cooked bacon, 1 1/2 cups cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Pour chicken mixture into prepared baking dish and smooth evenly. Top with tater tots.
NOTE: I like use the tater rounds.
  • Top tater tots with remaining bacon and cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes to allow tater tots to cook through and get crispy on top.
  • Sprinkle with green onions on top of casserole.
