- 12-16 oz uncooked spaghetti, broken in half
- 1/4 tsp salt

Heat oil & butter in a large Dutch Oven over medium high heat. Add in diced peppers and onions. Season with a pinch (1/8 tsp) salt & black pepper. Saute 3-5 minutes until softened.
Stir in garlic for 1 minute. Add in and break up ground beef and cook it until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
Add in Italian seasoning, diced tomatoes, broth, and the broken spaghetti. Stir together over high heat til it comes to a simmer.NOTE: taste the liquid for additional salt & black pepper, if needed. Lower heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes.NOTE: lift lid 2 times during cooking time and stir. Check liquid level also.
