16ozuncooked orecchiette pasta (or other small pasta)
1/2TBSsalt
2bunchesbroccolini, rinsed
1LBbulk italian sausage
2tspgarlic, minced
1/4tspred pepper flakes (optional)
1/4tspblack pepper
1/4tspsalt, (or to taste)
1TBSflour
1cupchicken broth
1cupheavy whipping cream
1/2cupparmesan cheese, shredded
Instructions
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Stir in salt & uncooked pasta. Cook per directions on back of package. About 2-3 minutes before pasta is done add in the broccolini. When pasta is done, drain the pasta and broccolini separately. Chop up broccolini into bite size pieces.
In a large skillet over medium high heat break up sausage and cook until no longer pink. Drain excess grease out. Add in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (0pt).
Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute while stirring.
Stir in chicken broth and heavy whipping cream. Stir in cooked broccolini, cooked & drained pasta, and parmesan cheese. Taste for extra seasonings, if needed. Enjoy.
