Easy Chewy Banana Bread Blondies
Taking an old classic banana bread and putting a fun twist on it in the form of brownies. The texture of a brownie but the flavors of banana bread.

- 3 medium very ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter slightly cooled
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnut pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray non-stick cooking spray in an 8" x 8" baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl mash 3 medium bananas until smooth.
Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, egg & vanilla until just combined.
Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into the wet mixture in large bowl. Fold ingredients together carefully until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips & walnuts.
Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until edges are set and top is firm. Test with a toothpick in center. If it comes out clean it's done. If batter on toothpick bake a little longer.
Cool in baking dish for 10 minutes. Remove to a wire rack & cool completely before serving.
