Easy Chocolate Pie

hand mixer or whisk
- 1 pre-made chocolate pie crust (I use the keebler brand)
- 2 (3.9oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 3/4 cup cold milk
- 8 oz cool whip (thawed) or whipped topping, DIVIDED
- mini chocolate chips or other candy topping
In large bowl using an electric hand mixer or a whisk, blend together both packets of pudding mix and cold milk until a thick pudding consistency forms.
Place 1/2 of the pudding mixture onto the bottom of the pre-made pie crust and spread evenly.
Place 4 oz of thawed cool whip or whipped topping into the bowl with the remaining pudding mixture and stir until well combined. Spoon over pudding mixture in the pie crust evenly.
Dollop rest of the 4 oz of thawed cool whip or whipped topping on top of the pudding layers.
Top with mini chocolate chips and refrigerate for 1 hour to set up. Slice and enjoy.
