- 1 (8oz) tube crescent roll dough sheet or triangles
- 1 TBS + 1 tsp all-purpose flour
- 6 pieces thin sliced deli ham (I use black forest.)
- 6 pieces sliced swiss cheese
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
- 1 TBS yellow mustard
- 1 TBS poppy seeds
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 TBS` dried minced onion
Sprinkle 1 TBS flour onto cutting board and spread out. Roll out 1 tube of crescent roll dough.NOTE: if using the triangles, pinch together all of the seams to create one sheet of dough. Sprinkle 1 tsp of flour on the crescent dough and using a rolling pin, roll out the dough thinly.
Place 6 pieces of sliced ham on the dough sheet evenly. Top with 6 slices of sliced swiss cheese.
Start on the long edge near you and roll the dough over the ham & cheese, and keep rolling all the way to the other end keeping it rolled tight. Place seam side down.
Using a bread knife (serrated), cut the roll in half. Cut the 2 halves in half. Then cut the 4 pieces into 3 pieces each creating 12 pinwheels.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place each pinwheel slice into prepared baking dish leaving space in between.
In a medium bowl mix together melted butter, mustard, dried minced onion, poppy seeds, and garlic powder. Using a pastry brush, brush mixture all over the pinwheels in prepared baking dish.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
