Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place a rack on top of a baking sheet and cook tater tots according to directions on bag. Make sure they get crispy.
Let rest on counter for 2=3 minutes until you can handle. Place 5 tots on a skewer and replace back on baking sheet.
Leave oven on for melting cheese process.
When all skewers are complete sprinkle 1/2 shredded cheese on all tots.
Place in oven for 3-5 minutes until cheese is all melted.
Add bacon crumbles to top of melted cheese. Add other 1/2 of cheese to top bacon.
Place back in oven for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted.
Once removed from oven, drizzle sour cream and ranch dressing on top. (I placed sour cream in a Ziploc bag, cut a corner off, and drizzled it.)
Sprinkle with chives.
