- 1/2 lb uncooked sausage, (you can also use cooked bacon, hamburger, etc. NOTE: (any uncooked meat will need to be browned up)
- 1 (13.8oz) tube refrigerated canned pizza dough
- 1 jar favorite marinara or pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 12 pcs pepperoni
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
Butter Topping
- 4 TBS melted butter
- 2 tsp dry Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray the inside cups of a standard 12 cup muffin with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a skillet over medium high heat saute with butter your favorite pizza veggies. (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.) Add uncooked meat (sausage, hamburger) and brown up. Season with salt & pepper if needed.
Remove pizza dough from tube package and place on a clean work surface. Roll dough out on surface stretching it for a thinner dough. Using a 3 or 4 inch cutter or edge of a glass cut out 12 rounds.
Place 1/2 tsp of marinara sauce in middle of dough. Place 1 TBS of mozzarella cheese on top of sauce. Place 1 TBS of cooked sausage and veggie mixture on top of cheese. Place one slice of pepperoni on top (fold in half if necessary).
Bring all edges of dough up and over the filling pinching it together forming a small bundle. Place seam side down into prepared muffin tin.
In a small bowl mix together melted butter, Italian seasoning and garlic. Brush mixture over each pizza bomb liberally. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Finish preparing the rest of pizza bombs.
Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and pizza dough is cooked through. Remove from pan and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve with additional warmed marinara or pasta sauce.
