Mongolian Ground Beef & Noodles

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 10 oz linguine pasta, uncooked
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 4 TBS hoisin sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (OPTIONAL)
- 1 TBS corn starch
- 2 TBS water
- 3 green onions, sliced (GARNISH)
Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add 2 tsp of salt & the uncooked linguine. Stir for 30 seconds and cook per instructions on back of package until tender. Drain.
In the meantime break up and brown up ground beef in large deep skillet over medium high heat. Drain any excess grease. Stir in garlic & ginger and cook for 1 minute.
To ground beef add in brown sugar, beef broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (opt.). Stir to combine for 1 minute.
In a small bowl combine corn starch and water with a fork. Pour into ground beef mixture. Sauce should be very thick. Turn off heat after 1 minute.
Stir in drained pasta until all sauce has coated the pasta. Let sit for a few minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions. Enjoy.
