Instructions
In a medium bowl mix together ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Divide ground beef mixture into 6 (1/4 cup) size equal portions. Roll into balls and flatten out into a hamburger patty shapes.
In a large deep skillet heat 2 TBS olive or avocado oil over medium heat. Place the 6 patties into the hot skillet and sear on one side until golden brown. Flip over patties and sear until other side is golden brown. NOTE: The patties do not need to fully cooked at this time, we are just giving them a nice sear on both sides.
Remove seared patties from skillet onto a plate and set aside. Leave 2 TBS of grease in skillet.
Add in 2 TBS butter to same skillet and melt over medium high heat. Add in onions and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and golden brown.
Stir in minced garlic for 1 minute. Stir in flour for 1-2 minutes to coat onions and cook rawness out of the flour.
Slowly stir in beef broth and bring to a boil over high heat. Taste for seasonings and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, if needed.
Place seared hamburger steaks into gravy and spoon gravy over the tops. Let simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes or until hamburger steaks are cooked through and tender. The gravy should be thickened also.NOTE: Double gravy recipe if you like a lot of gravy.Top with chopped parsley as a garnish.
