7up Lime Jello Salad
A delicious No Bake, Vintage Dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 6 oz box lime jello
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups 7up soda
- 16 oz cool whip or other whipped topping
- 10 oz canned crushed pineapple, drained
- 12 maraschino cherries, drained
- 1 canister spray whipped topping
Instructions
- Heat water to boiling on stove top. Pour boiling water into large mixing bowl. add in jello and stir for 2 minutes until all sugars from jello have dissolved.
- Add the softened cream cheese to hot jello and blend together with electric hand mixer until smooth.
- Stir in 7up. Chill in refrigerator for 1 – 1 1/2 hours to soft set.
- Remove from refrigerator and fold in cool whip. Stir in drained crushed pineapple.
- Pour mixture into 3 quart or 9 x 13 baking dish. Chill in refrigerator for 3 hours until firm.
- Decorate with spray whipped topping and cherries.
