Baked Churro Sticks

I’ve been craving churros for awhile, apart from going to a fair and getting some, I decided to do my own.  I didn’t really want to fry these, so keeping it simple, easy, and delicious, I baked these in the oven and oh my were they fantastic.  The most churro flavor ever, along with a chocolate sauce that I made for them.  My family is more than happy to eat anything I make, including these.

  • Gently place strips onto baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • While churros are baking, melt butter in a microwave safe dish.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a separate dish.
  • While churros are still warm, roll them into melted butter on all sides, and then roll into sugar mix one at a time. Place onto separate plate.
  • To make the chocolate sauce, place heavy cream & chocolate chips into microwave safe dish and heat in microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring each time, until you have a nice, smooth sauce.
  • drizzle over churros before serving.
  • Enjoy.
