

Bell Beefer TACO BELL COPYCAT Recipe
Equipment
- cutting board & sharp knife
- large skillet & wooden spoon
- measuring spoons & cups
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 pkt taco seasoning or 3 TBS homemade or jarred taco seasoning
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 TBS minced dried onion
- 1/4 cup Taco Bell mild taco sauce
- 1 TBS tomato paste
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- 4 hamburger buns, lightly toasted in oven
- diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, extra taco sauce
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, break up and brown ground beef until no longer pink. Add in onion and cook until softened. DRAIN excess grease out.
- Add in taco seasoning, taco sauce, minced onion, tomato paste, sugar, and 2 cups hot water. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Lower heat to a medium and simmer for 15 minutes until liquid has dissipated.
- Toast buns in oven. Spoon mixture over bottom bun, top with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato. Place top bun on and enjoy.
