Cake Mix Cookie Bars – 4 Ingredients

A delicious and fun dessert using any flavor cake mix and your favorite add ins.

Equipment

  • wooden spoon
  • medium bowl
  • 9 x 13 baking dish

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25oz) box yellow cake mix (or any flavor)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or other favorite add in

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.,
  • Whisk 2 eggs in a medium bowl. Add in cake mix and melted butter. Using a wooden spoon mix well.
  • Add in chocolate chips or other favorite add in. (Batter will be thick.)
  • Spread batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. Do the toothpick test. Once inserted and comes out clean the bars are done.
  • Cool completely in the baking dish. Cut into bars.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.

What's great about this recipe is the many variations. I've also used a chocolate cake mix and put quartered cherries in for a delicious chocolate cherry bar. So delicious.
