

Chicken Alfredo Sloppy Joe’s
What a great sandwich made from one skillet meal. Using an alfredo instead of a tomato base.
Equipment
- cutting board & sharp knife
- large skillet
- spatula
- sheet pan
Ingredients
- 1 TBS butter
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar alfredo sauce
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded `
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 2 hamburger buns
- 2 TBS butter
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium high heat melt butter. Add in onion and cook until softened.
- Add in ground chicken to softened onion and cook until chicken is no longer pink and cooked through.NOTE: break up chicken until small pieces.
- Stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.
- Stir in alfredo sauce. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat & remove skillet from burner.
- Stir in mozzarella & the parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with parsley.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Butter the insides of the tops & bottom s of the hamburger buns. Toast in oven until lightly golden brown.
- Spoon alfredo sloppy joe's onto bottom bun and top with the top. Enjoy.
