Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies

- 9 x 9 baking pan
Ingredients
Brownie Batter
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Peanut Butter Filling
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 3 TBS butter, melted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x 9 baking dish with parchment. (This will help remove baked brownies from pan.) Or you can butter baking pan.
- Crack 2 eggs into a large bowl. Add in white granulated sugar. Whisk together eggs and sugar until smooth. Add in 1/2 cup melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Whisk until combined.
- Whisk in flour and cocoa powder until combined. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl mix together peanut butter and butter until well combined. Slowly add in the powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spoon brownie batter into bottom of prepared baking pan and smooth evenly. Dollop the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter and smooth out. Using a butter knife swirl the peanut butter mixture through the brownie batter to create swirls. (Don't over swirl)
- Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Use a toothpick to test doneness of batter. Cool brownies. Enjoy.
