Equipment

  • 9 x 9 baking pan

Ingredients

Brownie Batter

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3 TBS butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x 9 baking dish with parchment. (This will help remove baked brownies from pan.) Or you can butter baking pan.
  • Crack 2 eggs into a large bowl. Add in white granulated sugar. Whisk together eggs and sugar until smooth. Add in 1/2 cup melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Whisk until combined.
  • Whisk in flour and cocoa powder until combined. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl mix together peanut butter and butter until well combined. Slowly add in the powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Spoon brownie batter into bottom of prepared baking pan and smooth evenly. Dollop the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter and smooth out. Using a butter knife swirl the peanut butter mixture through the brownie batter to create swirls. (Don't over swirl)
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Use a toothpick to test doneness of batter. Cool brownies. Enjoy.
