Author Catherine's Plates

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 green onions, sliced thinly (or 1/4 cup diced onion)
  • 1/4 cup cooked crumbled bacon
  • 1 TBS dijoun mustard
  • dash salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 pkg each favorite deli/lunch meats or any other cooked meats
  • 1 pkg favorite shredded or sliced cheese
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl mix together cream cheese, onions, bacon, dijoun mustard, salt & pepper. Set a side.
  • On a clean work surface sprinkle 1 TBS of flour. Lay out crescent roll dough into a triangle shape and thin out with rolling pin. Spread cream mixture over crescent dough completely.
  • Layer 6 pieces of any variety of lunch/deli meat or other cooked meat. Top with a layer of cheese.
  • Starting on the long end closest to you start rolling the dough over the ingredients tightly and keep going until you get to the other long end creating a tube shape.
  • Cut tube shape in half using a serrated knife. Cut the two halves in half and so on until it's all sliced thin. Place each pinwheel shape dough onto a lined baking sheet giving them space to grow.
  • Whisk up 1 egg in a small bowl and baste each pinwheel top and sides.
  • Place in 350 degree preheated oven for 14-18 minutes until dough is golden brown and cooked through. Allow to rest on baking sheet for a few minutes. Enjoy.
