Crockpot Easy Angel Pork Chops
This is a smothered pork chops recipe done in the Crockpot. It has the most delicious gravy that we have ever had. The Angel Hair pasta is the best pasta to use.
Equipment
- 6 quart crockpot
Ingredients
- 4-8 boneless pork chops (I used 8 center cut for this recipe)
- 2 TBS cooking oil (I love to use an avocado cooking oil)
Seasonings for Pork Chops
- 1/2 tsp each salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika
Gravy
- 2 (.7oz) packets Italian dressing dry mix
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 6 TBS butter, melted
- 2 (10.75oz) cans cream of chicken soup (I used 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 can of cream of celery)
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 12 oz cooked angel hair pasta (cook per directions on back of package)
Instructions
- Spray crockpot with a non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with the seasonings listed in the ingredient list. Place seasoned pork chops into hot skillet. Sear and brown for 4 minutes on one side. Turn over and sear and brown for an additional 4 minutes. Place pork chops into prepared crockpot.
- In a large bowl place cream cheese, butter, contents of Italian seasoning packets, cream of soups and chicken broth. Using an electric hand mixer blend until well incorporated.
- Pour mixture over pork chops. Place lid on crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or 4-6 hours on high depends on the thickness of the pork chops. Check for fork tenderness.
- Once pork chops are done, Serve pork chops and the gravy over the cooked angel hair pasta. Garnish with parsley if desired.
