French Bread Pizza

What an easy way to make pizza. The short tip to make the crust crispy with garlic and melted butter is a nice touch. You know with pizzas, there are so many variations. I like to sautee my veggies before I put them on the pizza. Either way, this is definitely a delicious and fast way to make pizza.

French Bread Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf italian french bread
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 3 TBS butter, melted
  • 1 jar pizza sauce
  • italian seasoning, to taste
  • 1-2 bags shredded mozzarella cheese

Toppings

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped vegetables I used bell peppers and red onions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Cut bread loaf lengthwise and then in half. Remove some of the inner bread. Melt butter and add garlic. Stir. Spread all over the inside of the bread. Place bread onto a sheet pan and place in oven and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from oven.
  • Saute vegetables until softened. Add sausage and cook until browned completely.
  • Spread pizza sauce onto bread. Sprinkle 3/4 of the cheese over the sauce. Add your toppings and cooked meat. Add rest of cheese.
  • Sprinkle with italian seasoning. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted. Enjoy.
